I'm not good at being patient. I admit it.
I always snooped around the house at Christmas time for the hidden presents when I was a kid.
I always wear my hubby down when he says he has a surprise.
I just don't like waiting.
When we left our church last summer, they gave us a very generous departing gift - a trip to Vermont.
Because Ken was just getting started in his new job, we knew we wouldn't be able to go last fall, so we planned to go this summer.

and we saw and did some amazing things.
We saw these guys out our bathroom window. The cub was being playful and the mom was just following closely like we moms do! We saw a fox, as well, but he was a little too sly for us!
Someone spotted these guys on the nightly moose hunt. The fields were beautiful at dusk!
This was the pond where the elusive moose were spotted earlier in the week by some kind souls who shared their photos with us. Our crew waited patiently, but they never made an appearance. Some of us got to see this little guy swimming about close to his beaver lodge.

If you look above the treetops, you can see the ski slopes and the village of Okemo Mountain Resort.
This was one of the views off the master bedroom balcony - total privacy except for the bears, deer, and foxes that happened along every now and then.

The morning we said goodbye
To the incredible church family that gave us this wonderful gift, you'll never know how blessed we felt and how thankful we were every second for your extravagant generosity. We made memories our kids will never forget. Thank you!
O how perfect! I love this gift of time together in such a lovely place. Thanks for sharing! <3
